After finish recovering, Kenshin and his friends return to Tokyo. During the days they are in Tokyo, a group known as “The Six Comrades” starts attacking all of Kenshin’s friends to cause Kenshin pain. As Kenshin discovers one Kujiranami Hyōgo, a man he defeated during the Bakumatsu, he discovers the group’s objective. Therefore, Kenshin and Sanosuke start making guard in several places from Tokyo which the former commonly visists, and during one night two members from The Six Comrades, Inui Banjin and Otowa Hyōko, attack a dojo and house from a policeman. Kenshin and Sanosuke separate, and head to fight the two members.
